Square Chapel arts centre has a growing reputation for its range and quality of performances. Square Chapel itself has been described as one of the most unusual buildings in West Yorkshire. Designed by Thomas Bradley and built in 1772, it is the only remaining square church in Britain. After being allowed to fall into disrepair and threatened with demolition, it was saved by the formation of the Square Chapel Trust in 1988, who have worked successfully to save the building and breath new life into it.
